Missouri woman files injury suit over auto accident

A Missouri woman has filed suit against an Illinois man and an Illinois corporation, alleging her neck, back, left shoulder, left wrist, left hip, chest and body were seriously injured after a collision.
Onnie Randolph was driving west on State Street at its intersection with 20th Street in St. Clair County on Feb. 8 when Bill Hixenbaugh, who was driving his truck in the same direction, traveled outside his lane and hit her, according to the complaint filed Nov. 7 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
In addition to her injuries, Randolph incurred medical costs and lost wages, the suit states.
She also claims her ability to work, labor and enjoy life have been impaired because of her injuries.
Hixenbaugh was negligent because he drove too fast, failed to keep a careful lookout, failed to maintain control of his truck, failed to drive carefully, failed to stop, slow down or sound his horn before the collision and drove without a driver's license, according to the complaint.
Hixenbaugh also negligently hit Randolph's car and traveled outside his lane of traffic, the suit states.
Because Hixenbaugh was working for Phil Schwartz and Sons when the accident occurred, Randolph claims the company is also liable.
In the two-count suit, Randolph is seeking a judgment in excess of $100,000, plus costs, interest, attorneys' fees and other relief the court deems just.
