People in Business meeting set May 27

5/2/2008 3:22 AM

The next meeting of People in Business will be held Tuesday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at GC Cuisine in Edwardsville.

Nancy Herold, president of Art of the Matter, Custom Framing and Art Gallery, will be the guest speaker for the meeting.

Art of the Matter showcases local bi-state art and specializes in custom framing.

"Our standard turnaround time is a week for custom framing," said Herold.

"Industry standards say, If you are not getting your framing done in a week there can be three things wrong: You don't have adequate technology, you don't have adequate skills or you just don't care."

At Art of the Matter highly skilled artisans put a lot of care into each piece they create, she said.

Herold has a BS from McKendree College.

She was the director of a small non-profit which supported visual and performance art.

Visitors are encouraged to attend at all People in Business meeting locations.

Meetings are held once per month in O'Fallon, Alton, Collinsville, and Edwardsville.

All meetings are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

For a current schedule of all dates and locations, please visit the website at www.peopleinbusiness.biz.

Group Coordinator for this meeting is Susan M Young, CPA of First Bank. Linda Stratton of GigaRange Digital Marketing, Inc will be our meeting facilitator. The greeter will be Danelle Brown, from the Tech Spot - the metro east areas only Apple authorized sales and service center.

This group is designed to help build a support system and outreach connection for companies.

It provides an informal networking format and a convenient information exchange resource group.

Membership is free. The $5 attendance fee includes a snack breakfast and a drink.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive ten minutes early to network before the meeting and bring extra business cards or brochures. Door prizes are always welcomed.
